Steampunk Love with Lady B

Hi!  Lady B here to share some Steampunk love.
Pictured below is a Steampunk make using an image from Rick St. Dennis' Zibbet shop.  Click on the image to enlarge.  Please forgive the horrendous water marks, but sadly they are needed these days.

The image used in the project above is "Angela the Assassin" and is available for purchase here.  She was coloured with Copic markers on Copic X-Press-It blending card then she was fussy cut and set aside.  I buy my card in the states from Amazon and Oozak.

The background is canvas board and the rocky outer portion is an altered picture frame.

I used the following DecoArt products:
  • Media Gesso in white mixed with Prussian Blue fluid acrylics.
  • Fluid acrylics in Prussian Blue, Titanium White, Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide, Carbon Black, Dark Grey value 3, Medium Grey value 6 and Quinacridone Gold.
  • Modeling paste
  • Texture sand paste mixed with media fluid acrylics in Dark Grey and Carbon Black.  This saves a lot of time in painting the base coat :)
  • Metallic Lustres in Champagne Ice, Copper Kettle, Iced Espresso, Gold Rush, Black Shimmer and Silver Spark.  The Lustres were applied to the paper gears I designed and cut with my eClips cutting machine.
  • Media Soft-Touch Varnish
  • Brush and Stencil cleaner
Other Supplies:
  • Canvas board.  Mine was 8" x 10"
  • "Angela the Assassin" from Rick St. Dennis
  • Colouring items of choice (pencils, markers, paint, etc.)
  • Kraft Card or card of choice as well as paper or card to print your image
  • Printer
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Darice embossing folder "Steampunk Gears" or any other embossing folder of choice
  • Die cuts or cutting machine
  • Pop dots or adhesive of choice
  • Old frame to alter (I used a frame that holds an 8" x 10" picture)
  • Art knives, metal or plastic.  I used plastic.  Heck, you can even use plastic eating utensils.
  • Paint brushes, palette, water, kitchen towels, baby wipes, etc.  Your normal painting stuff.

Thanks for looking!
