Smeared and Smudged Member Blog Hop July 2011

Every month at Smeared and Smudged we have a members' blog hop.  This month the girls wanted us to to step away from cards and ALTER a 3D object.  The  only rule was that had to have a stamped image or sentiment on it somewhere.  Unlike some of my talented friends, altering objects does not come easy for me.  I actually had to scrap my first two projects and ended up altering a metal tin.

Here's the result:

The sugar skulls are from Smeared Ink's "Calaveras" digi set, the sentiment is from Smeared Ink's "Zombie Pinups" digi set, the papers are from Crafty Chaos Designs, and the ribbon is Creative Imaginations.

I cheated a little due to time constraints and because I trashed my first two projects.  The colored images were used on a scrap layout I made a few days ago.  I just printed them and the paper and went to town with modpodge.

The blog starts at 9 am Pacific Time.

Below is the hop list:

More Zombies

Here's another Smeared Ink creation for you:

Bwahahahahaha!  The combo of cute and gore just cracks me up!  Okay...so I'm a bit off!

I used images from Smeared Ink's "Zombie Pinups" and "Gross Anatomy" digi sets and colored them with copic markers, scanned them to my pc, and made this digi layout with papers and elements by Kitty Designs at oscraps.

Skates and Zombies

You may not think the two go together, but in my world they do!

SBS is having day two of previews for the Sweet Gothic Kids' Christmas Line.

Here is what I made with Sally:

Since we are in the digital age and I've been on a mission to learn photoshop, this entire project is digital including the coloring.  I must say, I color much faster the old fashioned way, but it was fun learning a new skill.

Now for my darker side.

Warning, if the kiddos are around the computer send them away or wait until nap time to scroll down.

Seriously...this is not for the timid.

Really...this is bad, but in a good twisted way.

Are you ready?

Here we go:

Bwaahahahahaaaa!

I freakin' LOVE this image and sentiment!

It's a little bit off, just like me!

The image is from Smeared Ink's "Zombie Pinups" digi stamp set as is the sentiment.  It is available in the store now so if you're twisted like me you'd better scoop this stamp set up fast!

I colored my pinup with copic markers and scanned her to my pc.  I then added lovely digi papers by Crafty Chaos Designs.  I adore these papers!

Here is what the stamp set looks like and it is only $16.00 USD for the entire set!

I'll Love You Forever! Smeared Ink preview day 2

Here it is!  Preview Day 2 for Smeared Ink's Halloween Release!  I, as well as some of the other DT members from yesterday's hop, will be previewing Smeared Ink's new release images over the next few days.

Today's project uses images from the "Calaveras" digi stamp set and a sentiment from the "Zombie Pinups" digi stamp set.  I colored the images digitally, but they can easily be printed out and colored or painted with the medium of your choosing.  The papers used are from Crafty Chaos Designs.

Enjoy!

BTW...the new releases are now available in the store!
Cheers!

Smeared Ink Release Day Blog Hop!!!

Are you ready for some creepy inspiration?  The Smeared Ink DT has arranged a hop to horrify!

This will be the first of two Halloween Releases by Smeared Ink. The second release will be in September. There are a total of 11 digi sets being released on 07/15/11 plus one preview single image. The single is part of one of the sets to be released in September but we thought it would be cool to give a sneak peek.  Click here for a peek at the sets being released.

Here is my offering for the hop:

How about showing your significant other how much you love him/her with a handmade card?  Shown above is the card I made for my hubby.  I used a hottie from Smeared Ink's "Zombie Pinups" digi stamp set and colored her with copic markers.  FYI...I'll be posting a zombie coloring tutorial on the Smeared and Smudged forum in the near future so check back to see it.  I then scanned my Zombilicious gal to my pc and used an awesome sketch by Graphicat Sketches and used darkly beautiful papers by Crafty Chaos Designs.  Whew!  That was a mouthfull!  Do you like the sentiment?  It is included in the Zombie Pinups stamps set.  After you hop from blog to blog why not go to the store and get yourself a few new digi sets?!

BTW...a few of the gals, myself included, will be previewing more of the new release images over the next five days so be sure to check the blogs daily!

Although I am posting early as I will be at work for the hop launch, the official hop starts at 9 am Pacific time.  If the projects aren't all posted when you go through the blogs, please stop back to check them out.

Here is the hop list:

Let's Get Sketchy with SBC

Good morning and Happy Friday to one and all! It's time for another challenge here at Simply Betty Stamps! Today's challenge is to use ANY Simply Betty Stamps image along with ANY sketch challenge! Our awesome DT sistah, Cheri, has a monthly sketch challenge that would work out fabulously for this! ;O)   Here is my take on her awesome sketch:

I used one of the Valentine Emos, colored her with copics, and used fabulous papers from Crafy Chaos Designs.

Check out the SBS blog to see what the design team has come up with for your inspiration!

I'm Lost

D'oh! I don't remember if it is my Saturday to post or not so I'm just going to post an oldie but goodie.

Last month was the anniversary of losing a dear friend to Lung Cancer. It's hard to believe it's been three years. Billy, this one's for you!

I used images from Smeared Ink's "Holy City" rubber stamp set and colored them with Copic markers. The sentiment is from Smeared Ink as well.

We are back and rockin' it out at SBC

Welcome back all! We are ready to get started on our challenges again... today we are going to kick it off with our Cards DT... and next week a new challenges for the Scrappy side will begin! Of course you all can join in on both challenges and explore your scrappy side if you are a card maker or your carddy (is that a word, yeah I guess in my world it is) if you are a scrapbooker!

SO, today's challenge is very very easy... all you have to do is create something for a kid! A birthday card, a money holder, anything fit for a kid! Easy right!

The prize? Two clear stamps: Ariel and Jude!

Check out the SBC Blog to see what the DT has made for your inspiration.
Here is my little creation:
